waiting for the parts…

Great news, after spending 5 freakin’ days in customs, my Seritek/2EN2
storage enclosure finally passed through customs. Makes you wonder what
the hell they do with all those packages in customs. Anyway, now the
package is a
free citizin with an unlimited residence permit for the Netherlands.
Not even Rita can expel it now! It should arrive within the next
two days.

Also, a great surprise today as I received two mails from ASUS about
the N4L-VM motherboard. One saying that using a PCIe x4 card inside the
PCIe x16 slot would work and one other saying it wouldn’t.  So, I sent another
mail confronting them with this contradiction. Now it’s back to waiting
again. If it turns out not to work I might have to cancel the order for
the RAID card, or perhaps by that time it’s too late.

And as for the parts I ordered from alternate, still no confirmation
that payment has arrived. So its back to waiting again. Also, I ordered
another pair of 400GB Maxtor disks to complete the disk array.
